Meet Dr. Melikian:
Dr. Melikian received his B.S. Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2003. He has completed internships at Gainesville VAMC, Illinois Eye Institute, Cleveland VAMC and at Barnet-Dulaney-Perkins Eye Clinic. Then he proceeded to be the director of the LASIK center in Tucson Arizona for Nationwide Vision Laser and Medical Eye Centers. During the five years with NWV he trained many doctors, and co-managed over 20,000 LASIK procedures. He has received several awards for his contribution to the community such as:

Dr. Melikian is certified by California board of Optometry for treatment and management of primary open angle Glaucoma. He is also certified in CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) for nonsurgical vision correction. He specializes in challenging contact lens fitting including but not limited to Keratoconus.
Dr. Melikian loves the interaction he shares with his patients. He treats every patient as his own family. He is uniquely qualified to address individual concerns and questions that his patients may have.
Meet Dr. Blanton:
Dr. Blanton received his B.S. Degree from the University of Notre Dame. He graduated from the Medical College of Ohio as the valedictorian of his class and then pursued further training in the U.S. Navy. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Naval Hospital in Orange County and then completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He proceeded to specialize in his current field by doing a Fellowship in corneal surgery and external disease at the internationally renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Blanton has been the principal investigator in numerous studies with the excimer laser and the effects of altitude on refractive surgery patients. Dr. Blanton has performed over 20,000 LASIK procedures. He also has performed thousands of corneal transplantations, cataract extractions and has trained hundreds of doctors on laser vision correction.

Meet Dr. Kao:
Dr. James Kao is a highly skilled and
experienced, fellowship-trained, refractive eye surgeon. Dr. Kao grew up in New York and California. He received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from
Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and obtained a Master’s in Public Health (MPH)
at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He received medical degrees (DO and MD) from
Western University in southern California and International University in
southern Florida. Residency and
fellowship training were completed at Michigan State University and University
of Cincinnati respectively.
Dr. Kao participated
in studies in the field of refractive surgery as early as 1990 (initial FDA
approval for PRK) at the University of California, Irvine, Department of Ophthalmology
and as an Ophthalmic surgical consultant.
He utilizes the latest refractive surgery techniques in providing the
most advanced technology to his patients.
Dr. Kao is one of few surgeons certified on all five of the excimer
lasers approved in the U.S.
Additionally, he is experienced in the use of all microkeratomes in the
U.S. and is among the first surgeons in the U.S. to regularly utilize the
IntraLase Femtosecond laser for the all-laser LASIK procedure. Having been the LASIK surgeon with all three
national LASIK Corporations, he has performed over 45,000 refractive procedures
not limited to LASIK, PRK/LASEK, Conductive Keratoplasty (Near Vision CK),
INTACs, VISIAN ICL, and cataract surgeries.
He has had LASIK himself and performed LASIK on his family members as well.
Dr. Kao is most committed to providing Global patients the best that modern medicine has to offer.
Meet Dr. MA:
Dr. Ma is an internationally well-known physician and surgeon. He received his M.D. from University of Toronto Medical school with High Distinction, Magna cum laude in 1990 and his ophthalmology residency training from University of British Columbia. He had fellowship training in the following fields: Oculoplastics at University of British Columbia; Medical Retinal at University of British Columbia; Refractive surgery fellowship at University of Southern California/Doheny Eye Institute. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. While working at the Doheny Eye Institute, Dr. Ma had participated in a number of refractive surgery seminar presentations either as assistant or as primary presenter, as well as proctoring other surgeons on refractive surgeries.
Dr.
Ma has been a Board-Certified ophthalmologist since 1996 and had been
designated by Nidek, Inc. as a nationally certified trainer, to train other
surgeons in laser procedures. He has been invited for presentation on
"ReSTOR(tm) Vision Correction Program", "No Cut Custom Vision
Correction with Moria Epi-K in High Myopes" and many LASIK-related topics
at numerous society meetings across the USA and internationally (China, Taiwan,
and Korea). He has been a member of American Academy of Ophthalmology,
and American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery.
Meet Dr. Lakhani:
Dr. Lakhani is a highly respected refractive surgeon who has been performing the latest techniques in laser vision correction. He is a dynamic and caring physician who has devoted his career to refractive surgery. A graduate of Cornell University and Mt. Sinai Medical School in New York, Dr. Lakhani completed his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College. He then went on to complete an intense surgical fellowship specializing in Cornea and Refractive surgery at the prestigious Shiley Eye Center of the University of California in Orange County, during which time he participated in over a thousand laser vision correction procedures. He is one of only a handful of ophthalmologists who has completed a formal fellowship specializing in refractive surgery.
Dr. Lakhani went on to become the Director and Chief Surgeon of the Refractive center at the Moore Eye Institute in Pennsylvania. There he oversaw and helped develop the infrastructure of the refractive center, setting high standards for quality care for his patients.
Dr. Lakhani has performed over 20,000 procedures. Dr. Lakhani stays abreast of the vast changes in ophthalmology. He is a dedicated member to several organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Refractive Surgery. He specializes in iLASIK, LASIK, PRK, PTK, and phakic intraocular lens procedures.
Dr. Lakhani is a very amiable individual who enjoys interacting with his patients on a personal level. He is an avid runner and racquetball player, who likes to keep fit through exercise. He loves to spend most of his remaining free time exploring nature with his kids.
